The Property Accountant position is responsible for maintaining the fixed assets worksheet and verifying assets detail in the accounting system for CFT.  This position assists the Accounting Manager, Property Accounting with preparation of tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations and documentation of the Cherng investment entities.  The Property Accountant assists with preparation of personal financial statements for the Cherng Family.    This position maintains the general ledger for CFT, ensuring accurate and timely posting to the real estate general ledger.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions in this job description are not all-inclusive of this job’s duties and responsibilities.  Reliable and dependable attendance is required. 

  • Assists the Manager, Property Accounting (CFT) with preparation of tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and personal financial statements and related documentation related to Cherng investment entities, including Form 1065 and 1120S.  Ensures accuracy and consistency of data.  
  • Maintains the fixed assets worksheet and verifies assets detail in the accounting system for CFT.   Maintains the general ledger for CFT (day-to-day accounting, chart of accounts, and records).  Prepares journal entries and ensures accurate and timely posting to the real estate general ledger.   
  • Maintains and oversees interest for all new projects and credit lines and applies interest expenses allocation accurately and consistently..
  • Prepares and reviews corporate financial results in collaboration with the Manager, Property Accounting; assists with various accounting and financial reporting tasks. 
  • Helps to streamline and improve efficiency of reporting and processes. .Assists in implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
  • Performs research on various accounting issues and prepares proposed AJE (Adjustment to Journal Entry).


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience 
  • Successful completion of annual store training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to demonstrate and teach Panda’s Mission, Values, and Culture
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and practices 
  • Knowledge of enterprise accounting systems and sub-systems/software
  • Computer/technology skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
