Job Descriptions:
The Brand Manager is responsible for providing input to the company’s overall brand strategy, developing menu concepts and items, and building the business case for proposed concepts. This position conducts consumer research with support from an external consumer research firm as the basis for proposed new menu concepts. The Brand Manager manages major projects involving the development and execution of important new concepts or products.
• Clearly articulates the Panda brand strategy inclusive of our consumer target, brand personality and positioning, demonstrating a passion for the brand
• Responsible for bringing an aligned brand strategy to life in all promotions, new products and core entrée renovation
• Leads day-to-day management of brand building initiatives. Manages communications to develop a creative territory that drives effective communications
• Develops post-promotional recaps to document learnings and considerations for future promotions
• Conducts consumer research with support from an external consumer research firm or in-house market research team and uses results to improve our understanding of our guests and recommends future actions
• Manages and develops a team of brand marketing professionals to provide expertise in support of developing promotions and menu concepts and items
• Advises Director on brand strategies based on market trends, competitor insights and our own brand learnings
• Acts as a brand steward, implementing consistency across all marketing touchpoints
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field required; MBA preferred
• Minimum five years of directly applicable marketing and brand development experience preferably in a nationally branded retail/hospitality environment, with increasing managerial experience
• Strong knowledge of marketing and restaurant operations
• Knowledge of brand management
• Knowledge of market and consumer research and trends affecting the food service industry
• Basic knowledge of product development/testing in a restaurant operations environment
• Knowledge of Operations strategies, policies, procedures, and practices
• Knowledge of identified competitors and competitive actions
